18 mos – 3 Yrs. Old

Join your child as they discover for the first time the uninhibited joy of slathering slippery paint or squeezing, pounding, and poking clay. Children will utilize all of their senses as they explore the qualities of the materials, and delight in the physical motion of the activities as their muscles and coordination develop. We’ll experiment with colors, shapes, splashes, & swishes as we dazzle them with a fascinating new sensory experiments each week! This is one class where you’ll be happy to leave the aftermath to us!
3 – 5 Yr. Olds
$125* / 6 weeks
Drop your child off for an exciting hands-on, multi-media experience! With a different project each week, we’ll introduce new tools and techniques that nurture their discovery of the relationship between their creations and the world around them. They’ll be energized and excited as they express themselves in new ways and start to find new meaning and purpose in their creativity.
5 – 9 Yr. Olds
$125 / 6 weeks
We’ll expand on your child’s creative expression as they start to discover their uniqueness and individual style and preferences. We strive to expose students to famous artists, art history, and the elements of art (line, space, color, etc.), while giving them ample creative freedom to ensure their artwork is uniquely their own. We use only fine art and interesting materials in our mixed media classes (no crafty pipe cleaners and paper plates here!) as they work independently at their own pace on multi-step projects (some projects, such as papier mache, take two weeks to complete). The sky is the limit as they discover the new heights their imagination can take them!
9 – 14 Yr. Olds

At this age, children are introduced to more complex and sophisticated techniques and materials, challenging them as they grow in their creative development, while still having plenty of fun as they enjoy the creative process! They’ll be exposed to techniques and ideas that will nurture an appreciation for art history and famous artists, giving them new creative outlets to express their thoughts and emotions, and unique perspective of the world around them. They’ll find confidence in learning to trust their instincts and value their individuality. We’ll also experiment with collaborative projects that foster teamwork and an open sharing of ideas.

Open Studio is a flexible “open schedule” option that doesn’t require a regular weekly commitment. Children can come as often or infrequently as they like, during any of our weekly Open Studio sessions. Great for homeschoolers, kids with unpredictable schedules, and siblings who are in different age groups but want to attend together. The structure during the class is the same as our regular weekly classes in that all the projects are planned and structured with the individual students who have RSVP’d in mind (we log all student projects to ensure that we never repeat a project!). Since it’s open to all drop-off ages, within the class we’ll have different age-appropriate projects, changing each week. Because of the duration and structure of the class, it may not be appropriate for younger children, depending on their individual maturity level and attention span.
Our * NEW * Upcycled Art Open Studio class is structured the same as above, except the theme is “Go Green!” We’ll turn ordinary items that would otherwise be tossed into the trash or recycle bin, into amazing upcycled artwork! Imaginations will soar as they learn about the environment and explore the endless ways of repurposing household thing-a-ma-jigs, thing-a-ma-bobs, and do-dads into extraordinary masterpieces! In this 90 minute junk-o-rama, children will be split into age groups to turn trash into treasures!

Private Group Class: Ages 4+, Drop Off
We are pleased to offer a number of class time slots that are available for groups to reserve at a group discount. This is a great option for homeschool organizations or other organized groups. Drop off, open to children age 4+. Classes will be structured in the same manner as our regular art classes; children will be grouped by age to work on age appropriate mixed media projects. Please call the studio at 704.246.8271 to discuss availability and pricing, based on the size of the group and the number of weeks the group would like to reserve.
