Introducing Jen Lumpkin, Fort Mill, SC studio owner extraordinaire! ---->>
Those are pictures of her daughters up there, Harper & Drew. A loooong time ago! When our walls and floors were still mostly white. They are now a teen & tween! I will always remember Harper's first class with us - she cried because she didn't have time to finish her project. We still feel a little bad about that.
So we've known Jen (aka "Ms. Jen"), her husband Morris & their two girls for a long time! We always thought of Jen as a Super Cool Mom, and not just because of her flair for colorful fashion or that she was one of the few people who could pull off dressing like her 6 yr. old!
I recently confessed to her that years ago I stalked her on her blog that I'm pretty sure was mostly intended for family and friends (hint: if you don't want me to stalk you on your blog, don't let me accidentally overhear you from clear across the studio telling another mom that you posted some pics of your girls showing off their Small Hands Big Art masterpieces).
If I had to make a short list of everyone we've ever known who would make the perfect Small Hands Big Art studio owner, she would definitely be on it! She has a super bubbly personality and is just a lot of fun to be around!
The Lumpkins have been long-term residents of Fort Mill, SC and have witnessed first hand the town's record setting growth over the last few years! They have strong ties to the local community and are super excited to add Small Hands Big Art's unique blend of art enrichment programs to the Ft. Mill mix!
Jen is an Ohio native who moved to Charlotte to escape the cold and scored a little more than just a milder climate! She jokes that she always said she was going to meet her future husband in Charlotte and she met Morris a week after she moved here! For the past six years, Ms. Jen has dazzled her preschool class with her fun personality, amazing dance moves and yearly art shows.
The Fort Mill studio's programs will be a fabulous blend of Jen's unique style and love of color, craft and modern design, paired with the popular + time tested curriculum & vibe that Small Hands Big Art is known for. Jen has a genuine passion for teaching and working with children, and I know her Small Hands Big Art families are going to be in for years of unforgettable creative experiences!
The Fort Mill, SC studio will be at the swanky new Kingsley Town Center. Stop by and peek inside! We hope your kids leave their face prints on the windows!
We can't wait!
