In Elementary

One of our favorite projects this summer: Mixed Media Feathers became stunning wall hangings in one of our Teen Camps!

Students created the mixed media feathers out of a variety of materials:  tooling foil, sandpaper + colored pencils, transparencies + sharpies, just to name a few!  They painted & wrapped branches, and adorned their wall hangings with a mix of natural materials and colorful accents (leather scraps, wool felt balls, painted corks, glitter, colored wires, + other do-dads!).

The teens were excited to use their creative imaginations to craft a piece to decorate their rooms or to gift to a friend. They took their time deciding how to balance the hanging visually with different lengths, material textures, and colors.

The finished Mixed Media Feathers Wall Hangings were to die for!
