Elijah TroutmanPottery Instructor

Elijah joined the Small Hands Big Art family as a Pottery Instructor after graduating from the Western Carolina Belcher College of Fine and Preforming Arts in 2019.

During his time in the ceramics department at Western Carolina University, Elijah gained over three years of experience working with and teaching ceramics.  His artistic skills are not limited to just the pottery studio – he’s also a very talented painter and 2D artist, and you’ll find him teaching in our Mixed Media studio from time to time as well!  With an interest in process-based ceramics and research-oriented artwork, he is motivated to make sure every class at Small Hands Big Art presents a learning opportunity, emphasizing the fundamentals of artwork and creativity.

When not in the studio, Elijah can be found working in his home studio, creating new artwork and pursuing projects within the local artistic community.
