Each artist experiences the entire process of sculpting out of clay (by hand or on the wheel),<\/b> beginning with wet clay and ending with kiln fired ceramic pieces!<\/p>\n

Finished & fired pieces are ready for pick up the week after the class session ends (to allow us time to kiln fire their final creations).<\/p>\n

The ultimate 3D art form, clay can be a direct extension of kids\u2019 imaginations! It\u2019s not only relaxing and enjoyable for kids this age, but it helps with focus and concentration, and gives them the freedom and enjoyment of creating something tangible with their own hands! It builds hand and finger muscle strength, coordination, and gives kids a sense of pride and accomplishment to have a long lasting piece of art to show off!<\/p>\n

Becoming skilled at the potter\u2019s wheel takes time and practice, and the introductory techniques learned in this class will lay the groundwork to be able to create basic vessels like small bows & cups. At the end of class, select your two favorite pieces and they will be clear glazed and fired and ready for pick up the following week.<\/p>\n

Adults – set up yourself as a “student” in the parent portal to be able to enroll as a student!<\/p>\n
