Why Work With Me?

I'VE BEEN IN YOUR SHOES

I know what it feels like to juggle creativity with spreadsheets, to wonder if your pricing is too high or too low, or to try to fill a class with nothing but hope and a social media post. When I opened Small Hands Big Art in Charlotte back in 2009 (in the height of a recession!), there was no blueprint or social media—just a crazy idea (nothing like I had ever done before!), trial and error, a guiding believe in the power of creativity, and and a deep desire to work with children and make an impact. Fast forward 15+ years, and Small Hands Big art has become a thriving, profitable business with a loyal student base. I’ve walked this path—survived some daunting challenges along the way (Covid? what Covid?), and now I’d love to help others succeed on their journey, faster & with fewer hiccups and a lot more confidence.

BUILD A BUSINESS THAT FEELS LIKE YOU

You don’t have to choose between being creative and being profitable. I’ll help you build a business that not only sustains you financially, but also brings you joy and reflects who you are. This work isn’t just about earning income—it’s about creating a life and a studio that align with your values and make a meaningful difference in the lives of children through art.

Real-World Results

This isn’t fluffy coaching or recycled advice. I give you proven strategies that have worked for us in the real world—pricing models that have worked for us, class formats that fill, and marketing tips to drive your business. I’ll help you cut through the noise and focus on what actually grows your business.

Tailored Advice—Not Templates

Your business isn’t cookie-cutter, and neither is my coaching. Every call is customized to your goals, your strengths, and your vision. You’ll walk away with clear next steps and confidence—not a generic checklist. I’ll help you move fast, stay focused, and feel supported every step of the way.

Teamwork is a Superpower

One of the reasons Small Hands Big Art has scaled successfully? I’ve built and kept an exceptional team.

Creating a work culture that attracts and retains talented, passionate instructors has been key to our growth. I’ll share tips for how to hire, train, and empower a team that loves showing up—and keeps your business running smoothly even when you step back.
