Jen Lumpkin is the owner of the Small Hands Big Art Fort Mill, SC studio!
Her daughters Harper & Drew have been students of the South Charlotte studio from way back, when the walls and floors were still white.
Jen (aka “Ms. Jen”), her husband Morris & their two girls have been long-time residents of Fort Mill, SC and have witnessed first hand the town’s record setting growth over the last few years! They have strong ties to the local community (as they say, they’ve taste tested all. the. nachos) and are super excited to add Small Hands Big Art’s unique blend of art enrichment programs to the Ft. Mill mix!
Jen is an Ohio native who moved to Charlotte to escape the cold and scored a little more than just a milder climate! She jokes that she always said she was going to meet her future husband in Charlotte and she met Morris a week after she moved here! For the past six years, Ms. Jen has dazzled her preschool class with her fun personality, amazing dance moves and yearly art shows.
Jen spent her youth watching Growing Pains and Who’s the Boss while dreaming of having her very own 64 pack of crayons with a built-in sharpener. She spent hours in her room decorating houses out of magazines before becoming a Marketing/Business major at Ohio University.
She first visited Small Hands Big Art as a parent in 2010 and immediately fell in love with the studio and all of the amazing creations her two girls came home with. Every summer, she would make the trek with her girls from Fort Mill for, SC for a week of summer camp.
As her girls got older, Jen realized that it was time for something bigger, better, and more colorful! After a coffee date with the original Ms. Jen, the founder of Small Hands Big Art, the plan for a second studio was hatched!
