Pottery Wheel + Handbuilding Classes
Pottery classes are a great opportunity to de-stress and relax while learning a new form of self-expression. Our ceramic classes are led by our knowledgable and experienced instructors who guide and educate through hands on demonstration and skill building. You’ll learn about the different clay bodies, and the entire process of sculpting out of clay (by hand or on the wheel), beginning with wet clay and ending with kiln fired ceramic pieces!
You’ll learn how to construct beautiful ceramic pieces from basic techniques such as coils, slabs & pinch pots, add textures & unique surface patterns, and glaze techniques.
Prepare yourself for ceramic awesome-ness! Whether you are making something beautiful for your home or table scape, or are creating beautifully imperfect handmade wares to give away to friends and family, you’ll enjoy the relaxed atmosphere of our state-of-the-art pottery studio and access to all the tools and materials you’ll need!
Classes are intimate and focused, so students get ample assistance with process & techniques.
Tuition covers all materials, including clay, tools, glazes, and firing.
1.5 hour Teen + Adult Beginner Pottery
This beginner class for Adults and older teens teaches the basics of hand building and wheel throwing.
Through demonstration by our experienced instructors, and hands on learning, you’ll practice foundational construction techniques (coil, slab and pinch pot) to sculpt functional and decorative pieces. You’ll learn surface decorating techniques using textures, molds, slip, sgraffito, & stencils as well as glazing techniques.
In the wheel throwing portion of the class, you’ll learn fundamentals to create basic pieces such as cylinders, cups, bowls, etc. and you’ll be guided through the process of trimming and glazing your pieces.

Wed., 9:30 – 11:30am, or 6:00 – 8:00pm
TUITION:
$219 / 6 week session. Includes all clay, tools, glazes, and kiln firing!
Beginner Wheel Throwing
Age 6 - Adult
This 1 hr class is for kids (age 6+) and Adults who have little to no experience at the potter’s wheel, and want an introduction to the basics to try their hand at wheel throwing!
Becoming skilled at the potter’s wheel takes time and practice, and the introductory techniques learned in this class will lay the groundwork to be able to create basic vessels like small bows & cups. At the end of class, select your two favorite pieces and they will be clear glazed and fired and ready for pick up the following week.
Adults – set up yourself as a “student” in the parent portal to be able to enroll as a student!
Space is limited to 6 students.
TUITION:
Fridays, 4:00-5:00: $35 / person / per class. We also offer a 90 min version of this class periodically on Fridays from 6:00-7:30. Advance enrollment required.
Saturday DROP IN 2 Hour Pottery Lab
Ages 5 - 14
During our two hour DROP IN Pottery Lab, students ages 5-14 will learn the basics of hand building. Through demonstration by our experienced instructors and hands on learning, students practice foundational construction techniques (coil, slab and pinch pot) to sculpt an amazing hand built project.
