Group Art Session
Simply put, our Private Art Session is a memorable, joyful art experience in which the whole group or family participates (or it’s a fun Date Night as well)! It’s a priceless bonding experience involving movement, making creative choices together, collaboration, cooperation, laughter and love.
Our favorite medium for this type of art experience is layered mixed media, a process in which you build up layers of oil pastel, chalk pastel, different types of paints and textures. This process offers many unique ways to personalize and customize your art in ways that are meaningful to your group, making the final piece a cherished heirloom and one that you will proudly have in your family for years to come! Anyone age 1-100 can participate and make their mark!
The Scoop
Prior to your session, we’ll get input from you as to color and size preferences so we can pre-select a color palette and suggest a curated collection of art materials that we think will complement what you have in mind. You can also leave it completely up to us to give you suggestions! During the session, our knowledgable staff of teaching artists will be there to guide you as your “creative cruise directors” on this adventure! We’re happy to offer suggestions, or just stay out of your way and refill paint + wash your brushes – you tell us!
Our Private Art Sessions are offered on Saturday mornings and Sunday afternoons (advance booking required, these times in the studio are quite popular and sometimes book out far in advance – call for availability!). Available times are 1 or 1.5 hours.
The Cost
The base cost for a 1 hour workshop is $325, or a 1.5 hour workshop $375, + the cost of the painting surface you choose (at our wholesale cost, or you’re welcome to provide!). All other art materials are included (paint, pastels, etc.). There are many types of wrapped canvas profiles ranging from very economical to more expensive gallery profiles, and economical unwrapped canvas as well (that would have to be stretched if you chose to frame it, vs. hanging on the wall as is or mounting. We are also happy to discuss other painting surfaces as well (wood, metal, heavyweight paper, etc.). Together, we’ll come up with the perfect solution to fit your budget!
