Katie’s infectious energy has been lighting up the South Charlotte Small Hands Big Art studio since 2012, bringing a burst of creativity to every corner. With a fine art background and a knack for innovative curriculum design, she’s helped shape the studio into a vibrant hub for artistic expression and growth.
Katie thrives on creating a space where students of all ages can unleash their creativity, take bold artistic risks, and build their confidence as makers. Whether it’s working with little ones, our teen students, or seasoned artists, her playful spirit and expert guidance ensure every program is an impactful journey.
She doesn’t just teach; Katie co-creates. As a mentor to fellow studio owners and educators, she’s passionate about guiding others in building immersive, student-centered art experiences and connecting the vision of small hands big art into the day-to-day life of a studio.
When not instructing, Katie leads creative community building initiatives that bring together people of all ages, inviting them to experience the magic of creating something meaningful as a team. Off the clock, you can find her spending time with her partner and two kids—hiking local trails, cheering on Charlotte FC or getting lost in a good book.
