Inspiring confidence, creativity, and connection — every week.

Why Choose Small Hands Big Art?

Because Your Child Deserves an Exceptional Creative Experience!

Our classes deliver a premium creative experience, taught by skilled and passionate art educators who know how to bring out the best in every young artist.

What Sets Us Apart & Why Families Keep Coming Back:

  • Our classes aren’t just another after-school activity.  They are about discovery, self-expression, and joyful mess-making in a warm, inspiring space.
  • Real art, taught by real artists.  Our instructors are practicing creatives and art educators who know how to connect with kids and guide them without pressure.
  • There’s no “right” way to create.  Process-first lessons encourage students to explore materials and make choices with confidence.
  • We’re a creative community.  Students form real friendships in class, and feel like part of something special week after week.
  • Every week builds on the last.  Returning students grow more skilled and adventurous with every project.  You’ll see their progressive growth weekly!
  • Artwork worth saving.  These aren’t crafts for the fridge—they’re show-off pieces for your wall or shelves (and your heart).

Weekly Classes During the School Year

Charlotte Art and Pottery Class Schedule

How to Sign Up:

Weekly classes run Labor Day through Memorial Day with breaks the weeks of Thanksgiving, Christmas, New Years, and Spring Break/Easter.

Start taking classes when it’s best for your schedule. Enrollment starts when you are ready. Students can enroll at any time to reserve a seat in a preferred class. After registering, we will contact you to confirm the start date for each student–you may be asked to wait a week if a multi-week project does not align with your start date. Keep in mind, some classes fill up faster than others.

Your spot is automatically reserved each month. Instead of adding to your to-do list, you can “set it and forget it”. Most of our students keep rolling with weekly classes all year, so this is a long awaited improvement! You are IN- until you tell us you want to be out.

Predictable, monthly billing. You are only billed for the scheduled classes on our calendar, with tuition automatically prorated for scheduled breaks or months with additional weeks.

Standardized pricing across weekly classes: Our weekly class pricing is standardized based on the duration of your class and how many classes are scheduled for each month. It doesn’t matter what materials we use or student age group you are in:

  • 45m-1hr classes: $37/class
  • 1.5hr classes: $40/class
  • 2hr classes: $43/class
  • 2.5hr classes: $46/class

MAKE-UP POLICY

Planned Absences

Each student is granted two planned absences per academic year. Planned absences must be submitted to info@smallhandsbigart.com prior by the 15th of the month prior so that we can prorate the next month’s tuition accordingly. The full studio will to a break from weekly classes the weeks of Thanksgiving, Christmas, New Years, and Easter/Spring Break and you will not have to use a planned absence for those weeks.

Unplanned Absences

Life happens and we totally get that. We truly appreciate when a sick student stays home from class. Makeups for unplanned absences will be scheduled on a case-by-case basis with priority being placed on providing all students with a consistent and positive experience within the curriculum cycle. If a makeup class option does not align with the curriculum, our instructors will do their absolute best to ensure each student is caught up, sent home w/ extra info/supplies to work on their own, or pivoted to stay on track within their regularly scheduled next class. Prorations towards future classes will not be provided for unplanned absences.
