My name is Emmelyn Hood and I am originally from Conway, South Carolina. I am so excited to be a part of the Small Hands Big Art team!

During my time as a student studying Fine Art at Coker College, I was able to explore many different art making techniques but ultimately, I fell in love with oil painting. After graduation, I worked as a certified framing specialist and painting instructor, before working in the hospitality industry for several years.  I was fortunate enough to turn my passion for art into a career when I began working as a middle school art teacher in Lancaster County. It has been an absolute dream come true!

I love creating engaging activities for my students and helping them understand and foster a love for art. My goal is to make sure that every student at Small Hands Big Art has a wonderful experience exploring their creativity and making amazing memories!
