I’m Liz. Art makes me happy. Teaching art makes me giddy. One of my favorite quotes is “Some people only dream of meeting their favorite artists… I teach mine!” – unknown.  How I know is a whole other story…
My undergrad was in geography and I was a travel agent for several years. Before I knew it there were four kids, sports, activities, dogs, rabbits, lizards, hamsters and 22 puppies.  During that time I loved volunteering in my kids’ classrooms teaching the Masterpiece Art program. A friend said, “let’s job share art!”  We went back to school, got master degrees in Elementary Education, and soon were living our dream!  That turned into 10 years teaching art.  I recently retired when our family relocated to the Charlotte area with a job change for my husband, and we love it!
I grew up outside of NYC, but we lived in CT (twice), PA, and spent 20 years in AZ – it IS a dry heat!  My kids and their families live in TX, AZ and SC, but we have fun with virtual game nights. I love in person visits with them all, especially with the 3 grandchildren, who are little and hilarious. I love to hike and enjoy traveling to new places, but have been known to read on the beach for days. Life is good, especially when you get to do what you love.
