My dream job has always been to make art with children! I am fortunate to live out that dream as an elementary art teacher for the past 20 plus years in Charlotte Mecklenburg Schools. I am a mom of two crazy and hilarious kiddos and I was born and raised in Charlotte, NC. When I was 13 when we moved to Massachusetts where I graduated and moved to Baltimore. I am truly passionate about making art magic with children. My favorite moments are when students say “ohhhh” and “ahhh” when art magic is happening right in front of them!

When I am not teaching I enjoy spending time with my family, trying out a new art museum, and working on my own artwork. I have many favorite artists but one of my most favorite is Frida Kahlo. “Feet, what do I need you for when I have wings to fly?”
