In Preschool

We did this simple preschool block printing technique in our 3-5 yr. old class this week.  The kids drew houses on small pieces of styrofoam and traced them with a stylus to make an indention in the styrofoam. They then hand painted them with acrylic paint and stamped them on their picture.

We cut them out for them, primarily because we didn’t want them to smear the houses next to them.  Technically you wouldn’t have to cut them out for single block prints. We love this type of project because it is an interesting and different way to capture childrens’ original drawings.  We didn’t want to let the kids take them home!
