We created Big Top Circus Tents in our Pottery Camp last week! The colors…the details! Some of the kids made miniature Circus Conductors, some sculpted tiny little lions & elephants… their imaginations were in overdrive! I’m seriously not sure how we’re going to part with these!! We are sooo doing another Clay Circus Themed Pottery Camp – maybe we’ll focus on what goes on inside the tent – flyers and clowns, prancing poodles…
Ironically, I’m too much of an animal lover to care for the old fashioned kind of circuses (I prefer watching twelve rubbery people in tights form a human tower on top of a guy balancing on his thumb, in a coke bottle. On a tennis ball). But we could practically smell popcorn when we cracked the kiln lid on these amazing creations! Creativity is the Greatest Show on Earth!
