We love to host Reindeer-making workshops every holiday season, despite the pressure that comes along with the need to out-do ourselves and dream up an even cooler reindeer than the year before.  And the year before that… So course we dreamed up these Upcycled Holiday Reindeer.

I say this every year, but THIS YEAR’s reindeer was the most fabulous YET!  It was sort of a spin off of our Generation 1 model, basically the same fabrication except with a larger papier mache body and jointed wine-cork arms & legs that bent at the knees & elbows!   To accomplish that little trick, we inserted a stiff 1/2 inch wire in between two corks… so easy (except for stabbing ourselves in the hands 100 times!  Hint: use pliers!).

The kids had a fabulous time painting and embellishing them!  Then came the fun part of dangling lots of sparkly do-dads from their antlers.

Enjoy these cute photos of our Upcycled Holiday Reindeer!
