Looking for some wood sculptures inspiration? Look no future! These whimsy and creative wood sculptures are all the fuel your imagination needs for an afternoon of sculpting in your craft room. It’s amazing what kids can create with a little glue & some wood scraps. All photos are from our children’s art studio hand crafted by little artists with imaginations that blow us away every single day.
We used a large variety of shape, sizes, and pieces for this project. Artists carefully decided how they were going to build their structures and then meticulously painted each part with water color paint. The semi-transparent color coated the pieces adding life and color to the wood without taking away the natural grain. Then we poured out some wood glue, handed out brushes, and they went to work carefully rebuilding the structure they had planned out in the beginning.

I love these so much and I’ve featured it on The Crafty Crow today!
Thanks so much Cassi – we appreciate you sharing! ~Jennifer
These are awesome, I LOVE them! What kind of glue did you use?
Thank you! We used wood glue but we’ve also let them just use white school glue. And we also help them by hot gluing a few pieces after we make them TRY a few times to glue it themselves. We have them paint the wood with liquid watercolor. Thanks! Jennifer
